Arsenal readying new contract for striker
Arsenal are prepared to hand a new contract to Eddie Nketiah, a report from football.london claims.
Nketiah was used sparingly by the Gunners last season, playing just 413 minutes in the Premier League.
His current contract expires in June next year, and it was recently claimed that he could be sold for £20m.
It is now reported that the Gunners are open to extending the contract of the marksman to protect his value.
If they are successful, they could be open to loan offers for the 22-year-old with the option to buy.
Aside from Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette's contract also expires in 12 months' time.
The Gunners are due to hold negotiations during pre-season. They could offload him if no breakthrough is made.
The club are looking at different options to bolster the strike force including Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak.
Isak has a release clause worth £60m on his contract, but he could be available for around £40m this summer.
