Arsenals stance on Donny van de Beek revealed

Arsenal not keen on Donny van de Beek

Arsenal have not made any contact with Manchester United for Donny van de Beek, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Dutchman had a disappointing debut season for United, playing just 511 minutes of Premier League football.

It has been claimed that he is assessing his options, and a recent report suggested that the Gunners are interested in him.

However, Romano has dismissed the speculation citing that the Gunners are not looking into a move for the playmaker.

Instead, their focus appears on signing a more defensive-minded midfielder. Yves Bissouma and Ruben Neves are on their radar.

Meanwhile, The Athletic reports that the Gunners have failed with an opening bid for Anderlecht's Albert Lokonga.

The Gunners' £12.9m offer was rejected. The Belgian outfit are looking for around £17m to part ways with the midfielder.

Mikel Arteta's side are yet to make any signings this summer, but they are actively looking for new additions to the squad.

Aside from a holding midfielder, they have recently been linked with a move for a central defender. Ben White appears the top target.
