Arsenal confident of new Smith Rowe deal
Arsenal are confident of committing Emile Smith Rowe to a new contract amid the reported interest from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old had his breakout season with the club last term, registering seven goals and seven assists in all competitions.
He still has two years remaining on his contract, but talks are already underway to commit him to a long-term deal.
According to football.london, the Gunners have no intention to sell Smith Rowe amid the interest from Villa.
The Midlands outfit recently failed with a £25m bid for the attacker, and they are planning a fresh £30m proposal.
The Gunners will reject the improved offer. They are confident of negotiating a new deal with their graduate.
Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka played a key role in the club's change in fortunes during the back end of last season.
Despite this, the Gunners failed to qualify for Europe. They are expected to spend big this summer to boost their top-four chances.
