Leonardo Spinazzola to Chelsea?

Chelsea are reportedly exploring the prospect of signing Roma defender Leonardo Spinazzola this summer.

The Blues currently have Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Emerson, who can feature in the left wing-back role.

However, Alonso and Emerson are expected to be sold with reported interest from the Serie A this summer.

According to The Express, manager Thomas Tuchel wants a strong competitor to Chilwell next season.

The Blues are keeping tabs on Spinazzola, who is currently excelling for Italy at the European Championships.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the left-sided defender, who has 16 caps with Italy.

It was recently claimed that they could reunite him with manager Paulo Fonseca, but that won't be the case.

Fonseca was in advanced negotiations with Spurs over the managerial role, but the deal broke down at the last minute.

Spurs are still on the search for a new head coach. They are currently in talks with Nuno Espirito Santo over the vacancy.
