Arsenal have identified Sassuolo right-back Mert Muldur as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin this summer.

Bellerin has been heavily tipped to leave the Gunners, and he is reportedly on the radar of Serie A champions Inter Milan.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta still has Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares for the right-back role, but he is eyeing a new recruit.

According to The Athletic, the club have monitored Muldur for 12 months, and they could make an offer for his services.

Muldur, who is also on the radar of Napoli and Atalanta, recently played for Turkey at Euro 2020 from the left-back spot.

The Gunners are expected to spend big this summer, and part of the funds are due to be recouped from player sales.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been used in both full-back positions in the past, but he could be shown the exit door.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion. He could be sold for around £20 million.
