Arsenal open talks to sign Barcelona star

Neto to Arsenal this summer?

Arsenal have entered negotiations with Barcelona to sign goalkeeper Neto, Spanish publication AS claims.

The Brazilian was fancied to join the Gunners during the January transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.

The club have revived their interest this summer, and they are confident of signing him amid the Blaugrana's financial crisis.

Neto could be available for a knockdown price of just £5m. He is seen as someone, who could compete for the number one role.

Meanwhile, the future of Bernd Leno remains in doubt. He has two years left on his contract, and the Gunners are open to selling him.

West Bromwich Albion's Sam Johnstone and Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale have been identified as potential replacements.

The former has recently emerged as the ideal candidate. He could be available for less than £20m after the Baggies' relegation.

Ajax's Andre Onana has also been linked with the club lately. The Cameroonian could be available for just £7m this summer.
