Chelsea could prioritise move for West Ham United star
Chelsea continue to remain interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.
The England international was heavily linked with the Blues last summer when Frank Lampard was the manager of the club.
He continues to remain on the Blues' radar with reports suggesting that Thomas Tuchel is also an admirer of the 22-year-old.
The Blues are not actively searching for another midfielder, but their stance could change based on possible outgoings.
As per Romano, the west London giants will prioritise a move for Rice in case they look to reinforce their midfield options.
Rice has recently turned down a new contract with the Hammers amid interest from the Blues and Manchester United.
He still has three years left on his existing deal with the option for another 12 months. The Hammers don't face the pressure to sell.
It is claimed that David Moyes' side are unlikely to sell the midfielder this summer unless an offer of around £100m is tabled.
