Diogo Dalot to Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot under Carlo Ancelotti's recommendation.

Ancelotti was interested in signing the Portuguese for Everton last summer, but he instead made the move to AC Milan on loan.

Dalot was in-and-out of the starting line-up for the Rossoneri, but he still made 32 appearances for them across all competitions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Madrid are keeping a close watch on Dalot's situation under the request of their manager.

United are currently loaded with right-back options with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe and Dalot.

However, Williams and Tuanzebe have been tipped to leave on loan. Dalot could compete with Wan-Bissaka for a starting role.

His situation could change if United land a new signing. They are actively looking to land Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid.

In such a case, Los Blancos could make a formal bid for Dalot. United could also propose to include him as a makeweight to land Raphael Varane.

Varane is valued at €70m by Los Blancos, but United are aiming to sign him for less. Dalot could boost their chances of landing the Frenchman.
