Arsenal to pay £30m for Sheffield United star?

Aaron Ramsdale news

Ramsdale to Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to pay £30m to sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale this summer.

The England international has suffered back-to-back relegations from the top-flight, but he remains highly-rated by the Gunners.

The north London giants have failed with two bids to sign him, and talkSPORT claims that they are preparing a third offer.

They are willing to pay around £30m for the Englishman, and believe the package would be sufficient to land his services.

Bernd Leno remains the Gunners' number one, but there has been speculation that he could leave the club by next summer.

Ramsdale has been lined up as a long-term successor to Leno, but the transfer pursuit has received a mixed reception among fans.

The Gunners were heavily linked with Ajax's Andre Onana earlier this year, and they have surprisingly cooled their interest in him.

West Bromwich Albion's Sam Johnstone could be available for £10m, but they seem determined to land Ramsdale, who is five years younger.
