Arsenal end interest in Manuel Locatelli?

Arsenal no longer interested in Locatelli

Arsenal are no longer interested in signing Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Italian earlier this summer, and it was claimed that they are willing to meet the €40m price tag.

However, a deal always seemed unlikely due to the midfielder's preference to join Juventus. The Gunners are no longer interested in his services.

With Granit Xhaka set to stay, the club are not looking to pursue another central midfielder during this summer's transfer window.

Juventus recently proposed to sign Locatelli on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy €30m at the end of the stint.

Sassuolo instantly rejected the offer. The Turin giants are planning to make a fresh approach for the Euro 2020 winner by next week.

While Locatelli is eager to join Juventus, Sassuolo are clear with their transfer stance. They plan to keep him this season if a deal is not agreed.
