Manchester City pushing to sign Harry Kane
Manchester City are pushing to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane ahead of this month's transfer deadline.
The Cityzens recently lost the Community Shield against Leicester City by a disappointing 1-0 scoreline.
The result was the same in the Premier League curtain raiser at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
The absence of an elite striker has cost them, and they could find a solution with a big-money move for Kane.
The Mancunian giants recently paid a British-record fee of £100m to land Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
They are prepared to break the record once again for Kane. The club are unlikely to meet Spurs' £150m price tag.
However, they are willing to pay £120m plus add-ons. There is encouragement that Spurs will affect the proposal.
Kane recently trained with Spurs, but he was not included in their matchday squad for the season opener yesterday.
He was also not present at the stadium. All of this suggests that he may have played his final game for the club.
