Manchester United attacker fancied to join London club

Jesse Lingard news

Lingard set for West Ham return?

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has been tipped to join West Ham United before the transfer deadline next week.

The England international was superb for the Hammers on loan earlier this year, bagging nine goals and six assists from 16 games.

The Hammers have been keen on re-signing him on a permanent deal, but the price tag has proved a stumbling block for them.

The Red Devils want around £30m for the attacker, but the Hammers are reluctant to pay more than £20m for his services.

According to Football Insider, the Red Devils have held fresh talks with Lingard's camp and there are signs that he could leave.

With 11 months left on his contract, he is likely to be sold. David Moyes is confident of bringing him back to the London Stadium.

With Lingard potentially pushing for a move, the Hammers are confident that United will lower their price tag for his services.

Lingard was recently called up by Gareth Southgate for the internationals.
