Chelsea looking to sign AC Milan star?

Chelsea could reportedly lure AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on a free transfer next summer.

The Ivory Coast international has entered the final year of his Milan contract, but he has yet to pen an extension.

According to Sport Mediaset, the midfielder is keen on staying at Milan, and contract talks are underway.

The San Siro giants are willing to offer him around £6m annually, but he has yet to commit to the proposal.

It is now reported that the Blues are open to paying £1m more in wages if they can sign him on a free transfer.

Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the situation, having failed with an approach for Kessie this summer.

Chelsea are loaded with midfield options at the moment, but they are still on the look out for quality additions.

The Blues recently signed Saul Niguez on loan from Atletico Madrid. They have the option to sign him permanently for £35m.
