Arsenal set to make their sixth summer signing
Arsenal are expected to make their sixth summer signing with the arrival of Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.
The Japan international has the ability to play at centre-back or right-back, and can operate comfortably with both feet.
He was linked with Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the transfer window before being the subject of interest from Atalanta.
The Gunners have now finalised his transfer for around €20m. A medical has already been completed in Bologna.
The north London club are expected to confirm the defender's arrival in the next few hours on a four-year contract.
Tomiyasu is currently on international duty with Japan. He will be presented in the Gunners' shirt on his return next week.
The Gunners have already signed Nuno Tavares, Albert Lokonga, Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale this summer.
They are not expected to make any more signings after Tomiyasu's arrival tonight. There could be possible outgoings.
Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac are widely expected to leave. The former is on course to join Real Betis on loan.
