Chelsea to return for €80m-rated star in January
Chelsea could revive their interest in signing Jules Kounde when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Blues were keen on landing his services last month, but their €50m bid was deemed insufficient by Sevilla.
The La Liga club wanted at least €65m for the centre-back, but the Blues decided against another approach.
According to Standard Sport, the London giants could return for the Frenchman at the beginning of next year.
The club parted ways with Kurt Zouma to free up space for Kounde. They could now look for a mid-season deal.
Kounde had already agreed terms over a five-year contract with the Blues, and he was left furious over a failed move.
The defender is reportedly not in talking terms with sporting director Monchi after he was denied a summer departure.
Chelsea return to action this weekend with a home game against Aston Villa.
They will be favourites. Villa are missing key players in Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez due to quarantine.
