Arsenal make transfer decision on Mohamed Elneny
Arsenal have rejected the proposal from Galatasaray to sign midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to Sky Sports.
The Egypt international has only 10 months remaining on his contract, and talks over an extension have stalled.
Despite this, the Gunners consider him as a valuable squad player, and they are reluctant to lose his services this month.
The Turkish transfer window remains open until tomorrow, but the Gunners have no plans of selling Elneny to Galatasaray.
They are likely to assess his future in January. Elneny could yet sign a short-term contract extension with the north London club.
Arsenal return from the international break with a home Premier League game against newly-promoted Norwich City.
Both teams have zero points after three games. It is a must-win for the Gunners with manager Mikel Arteta under huge pressure.
Arteta will have a fully-fit squad for the encounter. Ben White, Gabriel and Thomas Partey are back fit and available for selection.
