Chelsea boss confirms injury boost for Southampton game
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the availability of Mason Mount following a minor injury.
The England international sustained the knock during the Carabao Cup third round tie against Aston Villa.
He subsequently missed the matches against Manchester City and Juventus where the Blues lost 1-0.
Tuchel has now revealed that Mount is fully fit and he is available for selection against the Saints tomorrow.
The Blues are currently third in the league standings with 13 points. They can temporarily go top with a win.
It won't be easy against the Saints. They have beaten the south coast outfit in just one of the previous five meetings.
Both encounters last season ended in draws. The Blues can anticipate another tricky encounter at Stamford Bridge.
Southampton are lying 16th in the standings, but they have impressed with their defensive performances this term.
Having drawn against Manchester United and Manchester City recently, they will be eyeing another positive result.
