Liverpool keeping tabs on Danjuma

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the performances of Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma ahead of a potential transfer.

The Netherlands international was on their radar last summer before he joined the Yellow Submarines from Bournemouth.

The La Liga outfit paid a fee of around €23.5m for him. The Reds refused to meet the price tag amid doubts over his ability.

Danjuma has since impressed with flying colours for Villarreal, bagging three goals and an assist across all competitions.

He recently tormented the Manchester United defence in the Champions League, grabbing an assist for Paco Alcacer.

The 24-year-old also mustered two shots on target that were brilliantly saved by David de Gea. He was named the man of the match.

The Reds had their scouts monitoring his performance last night, and they will continue to track him over the next few months.

The club will lose Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for up to a month from January due to their African Cup of Nations duty.

Jurgen Klopp could be eyeing more cover for the wide attacking positions. The club could make an attempt to land Danjuma.

He won't come cheaply with his contract only expiring in 2026. The Reds were hesitant to pay €23.5m, and may now have to offer significantly more.
