Chelsea make transfer decision on Saul Niguez
Chelsea have no plans of securing a permanent deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez next summer.
The Spain international joined the Blues from Atletico on loan earlier this summer. There was plenty of hype after his arrival.
However, the midfielder has struggled to adapt to the pace of the Premier League, and he has hardly played since his debut.
According to La Razon, the Blues have the option to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis for around £30m next summer.
The west London giants are expected to decline the clause with manager Thomas Tuchel having his sights on another midfielder.
The Blues are keen on luring Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic, whose contract concludes at the end of the current campaign.
The Croatian can negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, and the Blues are likely to place an offer on the table.
Saul joined the Blues with a big reputation, but he has made just three appearances - one of which came in the League Cup.
