Manchester United linked with Chelsea star
Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for Chelsea forward Timo Werner.
The German has endured a tough 18 months with the Blues where he has struggled with his finishing.
Despite this, he has remained a key player with his assists making up for his poor return in front of goal.
According to Bild, Werner is on the radar of United after the recent appointment of Ralf Rangnick.
Rangnick will be United's interim boss for the season, but he will then take up an advisory role with the club.
The 63-year-old will be handed a £100m transfer kitty in January, and it is claimed that Werner is one of the targets.
Werner was previously at Leipzig where Rangnick was the sporting director. He was also the manager for two seasons.
Despite the speculation, it appears highly unlikely that the Blues will sell the German midway through the campaign.
Thomas Tuchel is eyeing another centre-forward, but any decision on Werner could be delayed until the end of the season.
