David to Liverpool?

Liverpool will reportedly need to pay around £30m to sign Lille striker Jonathan David next summer.

The Canadian has been in fine form for the French champions this term with 12 goals from 21 appearances.

His progress has caught the eye of elite European clubs, and it appears that the Reds are keen on signing him.

According to L'Equipe, the Merseyside outfit are keeping a close eye on his progress with a view to a potential summer move.

The Premier League giants are yet to sort out Roberto Firmino's future. He could leave with his contract expiring in June 2023.

David has nearly four years remaining on his contract, but he appears keen on a bigger challenge at the end of the campaign.

Lille are also open to parting ways amid their financial concerns. They are willing to sanction his sale for around £30m.

Liverpool are also considering a move for a new midfielder. The club are yet to fill the void left by Georginio Wijnaldum's exit.
