Chelsea looking to sign Leicester City defender?
Chelsea have identified Leicester City's Wesley Fofana as a potential replacement for Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have entered the final year of their contracts, but the former is reluctant to negotiate.
He has his sights on joining Real Madrid, and reports claim that he could sign a pre-contract at the beginning of the year.
Amidst this, Goal claims that the Blues are lining up a replacement, and have Fofana as one of their prime transfer targets.
The centre-back has been out since pre-season after suffering a broken fibula and ankle ligament against Villarreal.
He is expected to return next month, and the Blues are prepared to monitor him ahead of a potential summer move.
Fofana's contract does not expire until the summer of 2025, and the Foxes are likely to demand a significant fee for his sale.
It has been previously reported that they could hold out for £80m, the same fee Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire.
