Chelsea to offload midfield duo in January?
Chelsea could reportedly part ways with Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the ongoing transfer window.
Barkley has been a squad player for the Blues this season, and he has been widely touted to leave on loan in January.
Everton are interested in re-signing him, but football.london claims that they could face stiff competition from Newcastle United.
Alongside Barkley, his compatriot Loftus-Cheek could also make way, having struggled to nail down a regular starting position.
He has shown glimpses of his quality, but has failed to impress sufficiently. The England star has also suffered multiple niggles.
Roma boss Jose Mourinho is keen on luring him to Serie A, having previously signed Tammy Abraham from the west London giants.
Loftus-Cheek could also be the subject of interest from Premier League clubs. Southampton were heavily linked with him over the summer.
The Magpies could also enter the pursuit of his signature following their takeover from a Saudi-led consortium earlier this campaign.
