Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has told Amad Diallo that he is free to leave on loan this month.

The Ivorian was expected to join Feyenoord on a temporary deal last summer, but the deal broke down after his thigh injury.

On his return, he has made just one appearance, which was in the dead rubber Champions League game against Young Boys.

According to journalist Jonathan Shrager, Rangnick does not see Amad as part of his plans and he is willing to loan him out.

Feyenoord signed Reiss Nelson on loan after Amad's injury last summer, but the Gunners graduate has struggled to impress.

The Eredivisie outfit are currently only four points behind PSV for the top spot, and they could return for Amad this month.

Championship club Sheffield United were also linked with them. They could make a renewed loan bid to boost their promotion hopes.

The Blades made a poor start on his return to the second tier, but have hit form in recent weeks. They are on a four-match winning run.
