Arsenal striker set to leave on loan
Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is reportedly on the cusp of joining Middlesbrough on loan.
The 20-year-old was convinced to sign a new long-term contract last year, but he has yet to become a regular under manager Mikel Arteta.
He has played just 133 minutes in the current campaign, and Fabrizio Romano claims that he will be joining Boro on loan in the coming days.
The club graduate currently earns around £40,000-a-week. It is reported that the Championship side have agreed to pay his wages in full.
Balogun is highly regarded by the north London giants. He was on the radar of 15 clubs last year before he put pen-to-paper on a new contract.
He has not made his breakthough as anticipated this season. However, the Boro stint offers him the chance to gain more first-team experience.
The youngster won't be the only player leaving on loan this month. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is currently on the verge of joining Roma.
