Serie A club will return for Arsenal midfielder
Serie A club Roma will make a fresh move to sign Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka at the end of the campaign.
The Switzerland international was heavily linked with the Giallorossi last summer after reports claimed that he had agreed personal terms.
Roma were willing to pay around £17m for his services, but the Gunners were adamant that they wanted at least £30m to sanction his departure.
Xhaka ended up staying and renewing his contract until June 2024. Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that Roma will return for him this summer.
Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the midfielder's talents, and he is looking to pair him alongside Gunners teammate Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Maitland-Niles only joined Roma on loan this month without a buy option. However, the club will have the first option to sign him this summer.
The Gunners are currently planning to sign Arthur on loan from Juventus. They are also weighing up a summer move for Leicester's Youri Tielemans.
