Chelsea confident of signing French midfielder
Chelsea are confident of landing the signature of Aurelien Tchouameni during this summer's transfer window.
The Blues were linked with the Monaco midfielder last summer, but they did not make a formal approach for his services.
They instead opted to monitor his performances. He is now attracting interest from Juventus and Manchester United.
Despite this, the Blues believe they are still in a good position to sign the midfielder, who is now a France regular.
The club have already made initial contact with the Principality outfit over a potential deal at the end of the campaign.
Monaco value him at around £45 million. The Blues are likely to meet the price tag with a new midfielder being a priority.
The Blues signed Saul Niguez on loan from Atletico Madrid last summer with the option to buy for around £32 million.
The Spaniard has experienced a hugely disappointing campaign to date, and the club are unlikely to sign him permanently.
