Barcelona are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak this summer.

The Catalan giants are currently facing spending restrictions from La Liga due to their excessive wage bill.

They are in the process of offloading multiple players while also handing new contracts with big pay-cuts.

According to Sport, the club are interested in Isak, but may not make a formal approach until the summer.

The Swede has been a long-term target for the Catalan giants while Xavi is also an admirer of his qualities.

His current deal has a €90m release clause, but Sociedad are likely to accept a much lesser price from suitors.

The Blaugrana are planning a summer bid, but the Gunners could also make a bid of their own for the striker.

Technical director Edu Gaspar is a huge admirer of the marksman, and the Gunners could enter a bidding battle.

A move could be made regardless of Dusan Vlahovic's arrival as the club look to become potential title contenders.
