Arsenal terminate contract of defender
Arsenal have mutually terminated the contract of Sead Kolasinac before his move to Marseille.
The Bosnian recently entered the final six months of his deal, and he has now joined Les Phoceens on a free transfer.
The left-back was initially touted to leave the Gunners last summer, but there weren't any suitable offers on the table.
The Gunners wanted a transfer fee for Kolasinac while the defender was also reluctant to accept a significant pay-cut.
Hence, he ended up staying, but made just five more appearances for the Gunners. He has now joined Marseille on a Bosman deal.
The French club have a good relationship with the Gunners, having also signed William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi.
The young duo are currently on temporary deals, but Marseille have the obligation to buy Guendouzi for £10m in the summer.
The Gunners have been busy offloading fringe players. Pablo Mari could be the next in line. He is close to joining Udinese on loan.
