Liverpool target Luis Diaz 'going nowhere' says Porto coach
Liverpool's pursuit of Porto winger Luis Diaz had appeared to be edging closer to success, however the manager of Porto insists that the player is staying put. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes to make Diaz his only transfer before the end of the January window.
The Colombian international has caught the eye in Portugal for Porto with some excellent displays, bagging 30 goals in 80 games for his current side.
Tottenham had been in the race to sign the winger, but missed out after failing to agree a fee with the player's representatives. It is understood that Diaz himself had no interest in moving to the North London outfit.
Liverpool have tabled a 60 million euro package to bring Diaz to Anfield, and that is currently being considered by Porto top brass as we speak.
However, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao insists Diaz is going nowhere: "We are not prepared to lose Luis or anyone else, but the players have a release clause."
According to rumours, Diaz's release clause could be close to 95 million euros.
