Man Utd ready to sign Barcelona man on deadline day

Manchester United are willing to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele before Monday's transfer deadline.

The Frenchman is expected to be sold by the Catalan giants, having snubbed a new contract beyond the summer.

They have set an asking price of around £18m, and Sport claims that the 24-year-old could be headed to England.

Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the attacker, and they are willing to land his services by tomorrow.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick is also a great admirer of Dembele. He previously tried to sign him for RB Leipzig.

Dembele is expected to make a transfer decision on deadline day, and he may want assurances of regular game time.

Aside from United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could be among candidates to sign him in the next 24 hours.

The Blues are loaded with attacking options at the moment and they may need to offload someone before making a bid.

Spurs, on the other hand, are yearning for more quality in attack. Dembele would be a superb addition if he stays unscathed.
