David Ornstein updates on striker situation at Arsenal
Arsenal are unlikely to part ways with Eddie Nketiah before the transfer window closes, The Athletic's David Ornstein claims.
The striker has entered the final six months of his contract, and there has been speculation that he could leave before tonight's 11 pm deadline.
Crystal Palace are long-term admirers of his services while Newcastle United have also been touted as potential candidates to land him.
Amidst this, Ornstein reports that Nketiah won't be sold by the Gunners as they are planning to part ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang is reportedly on the verge of signing for Barcelona. The Gabon star has agreed a significant pay-cut to join them on a short-term loan.
The north London giants were tipped to sign a new marksman earlier this month, but so far they have been unsuccessful in doing so.
Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette have been hugely disappointing in recent weeks, but there may not be any incomings in the next few hours.
