Manchester United to bid for Harry Kane?

Manchester United could lodge an approach for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane if Mauricio Pochettino becomes their new manager.

The Red Devils are currently working with Ralf Rangnick as the interim boss, but he will step down from the role this summer.

Pochettino is widely considered the favourite to take charge amid his deteriorating relationship with Paris Saint-Germain fans.

Les Parisiens lost out on the Ligue 1 title to Lille last season, and they recently bowed out of the French Cup on penalties to Nice.

This has frustrated many of the club's faithful, and the Argentine could be shown the exit door at the end of the campaign.

According to The Telegraph, Pochettino could end up at Old Trafford this summer, and may want a reunion with Harry Kane.

Kane has an excellent relationship with Pochettino, who aided his early development. Pochettino may urge the board to pursue him.

Spurs wanted a hefty £160m for Kane last summer, but they could accept a lesser sum as he enters the last two years of his contract.
