Manchester United striker keen on La Liga transfer

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has his sights on moving to the Spanish La Liga this summer.

The Uruguayan was initially keen on leaving the club last month, but he was convinced to stay by manager Ralf Rangnick.

However, the 34-year-old is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season. He has the desire to play in Spain.

Cavani is currently attracting interest from Boca Juniors and River Plate in South America, but he plans to continue in Europe.

Barcelona were heavily linked with him last month, but they ended up signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal.

The Catalan giants are expected to pursue another marksman this summer, but they are looking for a much younger striker.

Cavani, who will be 35 tomorrow, may have to look elsewhere. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo could also push for an exit.

Ronaldo stated brilliantly in his comeback season at United, but could push for an exit if the club fail to make the top four.
