Youri Tielemans set for summer Man Utd move?

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romani, Youri Tielemans has turned down a new contract and could join Man Utd. The Belgian international looks set to leave Leicester City.

With Manchester United expecting a summer overhaul of their squad, Ralf Rangnick has identified Youri Tielemans as the man that he hopes to sign first in a deal that could be worth as much as £65 million.

Brendan Rodgers will be left disappointed in his best efforts to persuade Tielemans to extend his stay at the club, as some of the Premier League's top clubs prepare to make a move for the Belgium international.

It is understood that, whilst Man Utd are in apparent pole position to make a move for the versatile midfielder, Liverpool are also considering a transfer bid.

Tielemans' contract will expire in 2023 and therefore Leicester City are concerned that the 25-year-old could depart the club for a relatively low fee. 

The player has scored an impressive 23 goals in 135 games since arriving in the Premier League from AS Monaco.
