Chelsea defender to agree Barcelona move next week?

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could sign a pre-contract deal with Barcelona next week, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The Dane has just four months left on his Blues contract, and he has made it clear that he won't renew his deal.

Barcelona are favourites to sign him, and they are now on the verge of finalising a pre-contract agreement.

Christensen has already agreed terms over a four-year deal, and he is now expected to officially sign paperwork.

Bayern Munich were also interested in signing him recently, but they are no longer in the race to secure his services.

The Bavarian giants will be working on a limited budget this summer, and are reluctant to meet the Dane's weekly wage demands.

Christensen may not be the only Blues player leaving on a free transfer. Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger could follow.

Azpilicueta has also been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou. Barcelona are awaiting the final decision over his future.
