Ronaldo open to PSG move?

Cristiano Ronaldo would be open to joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer if Manchester United fail to qualify for the Champions League.

The Portugal international returned to the Red Devils after a 12-year gap last summer. This led to suggestions that they could challenge for the league title.

However, the club have never looked like doing so. They are currently facing a tough battle on their hands to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Amidst this, Football Transfers claim that the 37-year-old could move on from the Red Devils if they can't guarantee Champions League football next term.

Paris Saint-Germain have been long-term admirers of Ronaldo. It is reported that the attacker would be open to playing alongside arch-rival Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo was absent from yesterday's 4-1 derby defeat to Manchester City. He was ruled out with a hip flexor problem, according to Ralf Rangnick.

It has been reported elsewhere that he was reluctant to drop to the bench which paved the way for his exclusion from Sunday's matchday squad.
