Leicester without Vardy for Arsenal trip

Arsenal have been handed a boost following a knee injury sustained by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The Gunners have been in excellent form since the winter break. They have won four Premier League games on the bounce.

They are now scheduled to host the Foxes at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Ahead of the game, they have received a boost.

Vardy has been nemesis to the Gunners backline over the years. The England star has bagged 11 goals from just 14 meetings.

However, the 35-year-old won't have any impact on the proceedings this weekend, having suffered a knock to his knee.

Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he will be out for three to four weeks which should excite Gunners fans.

Arsenal have won their last two games against the Foxes. They should be fancied to extend the winning streak this weekend.

They will be well rested for the encounter compared to the Foxes, who have a midweek Europa Conference League tie against Rennes.
