Thomas Partey to Juventus?

Reports from Italy on Sunday morning suggest that Serie A giants Juventus are eyeing a summer transfer move for Ghana and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey. Named the club's player of the month for February, the former Atletico Madrid has finally found his feet at the Emirates and emerged as a crucial member of the club's squad.

Juventus have been taking note. Partey's impressive form and the departure of Rodrigo Bentacur and Aaron Ramsey leaves a hole in Juventus' midfield.

Arsenal splashed out close to 50 million euros to secure a move for Partey, and despite the midfielder heading into his 29th birthday in June, the club believe that the Ghanaian would be worth even more than that.

Partey currently has a long-term deal with the Gunners that runs until 2025. Whilst Arsenal are not willing to open terms to extend that contract, which would see Partey at the club until he is 32, Arsenal are very unlikely to want to sell the African midfielder.

Juventus have had a very disappointing campaign and have commenced the beginnings of a rebuilding programme, with a transfer budget of 200 million euros set aside to sign new players.
