Manchester United have their sights on La Liga striker

Manchester United have their sights on landing Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak after admitting defeat in the pursuit of Erling Haaland.

Haaland has been long linked with the Red Devils, but they are unlikely to sign him after a frustrating season in the Premier League.

The club started the campaign as potential title contenders, but they are now languishing outside of the Champions League places.

According to Daily Star, the Red Devils are no longer in the race for Haaland, who appears on his way to Manchester City this summer.

It is added that the Mancunian giants have now turned their focus towards Isak, who was heavily linked with Arsenal earlier in January.

Isak has a staggering €90m release clause on his contract, but he could be available for a reduced fee, considering his form this campaign.

The Swede was superb for Sociedad last term with 17 league goals and went on to star at Euro 2020. However, he has netted just four times this season.
