Man Utd duo set to face Atletico

Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay have been deemed fit for the Champions League meeting against Atletico Madrid.

Fernandes and Shaw had been sidelined lately due to Covid and a calf injury but they are both back in full training ahead of tomorrow's game.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed that the pair are available for selection against Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has also been involved in training after coronavirus, but he will undergo a late fitness test before the European game.

The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against Atletico in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Anthony Elanga equalised late.

They will be favourites for the second leg at Old Trafford tomorrow. It remains to be seen whether they can capitalise on the home advantage.

Cristiano Ronaldo has netted a stunning 26 goals against Atletico. He should be beaming in confidence after Saturday's hat-trick against Spurs.
