Liverpool star suffers injury blow ahead of Arsenal clash?

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah appears doubtful for the midweek Premier League clash against Arsenal on the road.

The Egyptian recently notched his 20th league goal of the campaign against Brighton, but was substituted at the hour mark.

Salah was taken off with a foot injury which was downplayed by Jurgen Klopp, but the issue appears much more serious.

According to Liverpool Echo, the 29-year-old did not participate in Monday's training session. He is a major doubt to face the Gunners.

The Merseyside giants are currently three points behind leaders Manchester City, having played the same number of matches.

Hence, they have a realistic chance of winning the league title, but the Gunners will be aiming to dent their hopes on Wednesday.

While Salah's absence would be a big blow, the Reds have several match-winners including Diogo Jota, who likes to face the Gunners.

The 25-year-old tends to bring the best out of him against Mikel Arteta's side. He has netted seven goals from just 10 appearances.
