Serie A duo enter race to sign Man Utd attacker
Serie A duo AC Milan and Roma have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard this summer.
The England star has barely played for the Red Devils this campaign. He is expected to leave them for free when his contract expires in June.
Lingard is currently permitted to discuss terms with foreign clubs, and Fabrizio Romano claims that Milan and Roma are leading the pursuit.
Milan tried to sign him on loan during last summer's transfer window, but then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to keep hold of his services.
The Rossoneri are back in the hunt, but they are set to face stiff competition from the Giallorossi, who are managed by ex-United boss Jose Mourinho.
Lingard enjoyed the best phase of his United career under the Portuguese. He bagged 13 goals and seven assists from 48 games in 2017/18.
There could be a possible reunion on the cards this summer. West Ham and Newcastle are also keen, but Lingard fancies a move to Serie A.
