Arsenal have been tracking the progress of Eintracht Frankfurt's attacker Ali Akman. The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan with Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen, has caught the eye in the Netherlands with some excellent attacking displays and the Gunners' scouting network have identified the Turkish under-21 international as a hot prospect for the future.

It is understood that German club Eintracht Frankfurt would be willing to part with the attacker for a fee of around 8.5 million euros, and Mikel Arteta is seeking new options for his new look Arsenal side for 2022-23.

With Folarin Balogun set to return to the club from a loan spell with Middlesbrough, the England under-21 attacker is the only striker available at the Emirates after this summer's transfer window. Both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are expected to leave the Emirates on free transfers.

Lacazette will likely head to Lyon, whilst Nketiah has numerous suitors in the Premier League and the Championship.

Arsenal's board of directors have assigned around 150 million euros to spend on new players in the summer transfer window, and may even supplement that with more cash if the Gunners are able to complete a memorable Champions League qualification this campaign.
