Arsenal have their sights on landing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves this summer, according to The Sun.

The Portuguese has been with the Midlands outfit for the last five years, but he is now prepared to pursue a bigger challenge.

He is eyeing European football with an elite European club, and The Sun claims that the Gunners are in the mix for him.

Aside from the Gunners, United and Barcelona are also in the running to pursue the former FC Porto graduate this summer.

Neves will enter the final two years of his deal in July. Wolves have identified Benfica's Martim Neto as a possible replacement.

The midfielder has not publicly spoken about his desire to leave, but has indirectly done so by turning down a new contract.

Neves has had another fine season for Wolves. He has averaged an impressive 2.3 tackles per Premier League game.

He has also chipped in with four goals and two assists in the top-flight. All of those contributions have been in winning situations.
