Man Utd striker expected to leave this summer
Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has made the decision to leave the Red Devils during the summer, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Uruguay international netted 17 goals for the Red Devils last term, but has failed to replicate similar performances this campaign.
The 35-year-old has struggled with numerous injuries over the course of the season. He has managed just two goals from 17 games.
According to Romano, Cavani has no plans of staying with the Red Devils when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
It is added that the experienced striker wants to continue in Europe next season, and would prefer a move to the Spanish top-flight.
Barcelona were keen on landing his services during the winter transfer window, but United made it clear that he was not for sale.
They ended up pursuing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal, but could attempt to sign Cavani on a free transfer this summer.
Sevilla have also been credited with an interest in the ex-PSG star.
