Arsenal favourites to sign Dutch attacker
Arsenal are reportedly ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City in the pursuit of PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.
The Dutchman has been in sublime form for PSV this campaign, bagging 18 goals and 15 assists from 43 appearances.
He is prepared to take the next step in his career this summer, and Aad de Mos claims that the Gunners are leading the pursuit.
Liverpool and Man City are also admirers of the verstatile frontman, but the Gunners are reportedly better placed to sign him.
Gakpo wants the assurance of a regular starting role, and the Gunners could offer him the chance to lead the line next season.
The 22-year-old has largely featured on the left wing this term, but he is also capable of playing up front or on the right wing.
PSV are likely to demand at least €40 million to part ways with Gakpo, who has already earned four caps for the Netherlands.
Arsenal are planning to pursue two strikers this summer. They have been heavily linked with Man City's Gabriel Jesus lately.
