Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona over a bumper contract.

The Spaniard has been with the Blues for a decade, but he is expected to move on at the end of the campaign.

Barcelona have been in regular contact with his agents and Sport claims that they have now agreed personal terms.

The club captain has finalised a £11m-per-year with the Catalan giants ahead of an anticipated move this summer.

Azpilicueta's contract was initially due to expire in June this year, but it has been extended for another 12 months.

Having played 30 games this campaign, a renewal clause was automatically triggered to keep him until June 2023.

The Blues are now in a position to command a nominal fee for the Spaniard, but could still release him for nothing.

The defender could mutually cut ties with the Blues by snubbing any loyalty bonuses when he heads for the exit door.

Azpilicueta has been a regular starter under Thomas Tuchel in recent months despite the uncertainty over his future.
