Arsenal interested in signing Serie A right-back

Molina wanted by Arsenal

Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Udinese defender Nahuel Molina this summer, Calciomercato reports.

The Argentine has been in superb form for the Serie A outfit this term, bagging eight goals and four assists from the right wing-back spot.

He has been touted for a bigger challenge this summer, and it appears the Gunners are aiming to sign him in a part-exchange deal.

Pablo Mari was loaned out to Udinese at the turn of the year, and they are said to be eyeing his permanent transfer this summer.

The Gunners are prepared to include the Spaniard as a makeweight to land Molina. Udinese value him at around €30 million.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares are presently the right-back options, but the latter has been largely inconsistent with his displays.

Cedric has insisted that he plans to stay at the club, but could change his stance if the Gunners end up securing the services of Molina.
