Arsenal readying second bid for Osimhen

Arsenal have been fancied to make an improved transfer offer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Gunners recently failed with a club-record £76m bid for the Nigerian star, but it appears they have not given up on him.

The north London side are planning another move for the 23-year-old. It could be closer to the reported £93m price tag.

Osimhen had an impressive second season at Napoli, bagging 18 goals and six assists from 32 appearances in all competitions.

He missed more than two months of action with a cheekbone fracture. Otherwise, his statistics could have been much better.

Unlike Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, Osimhen is more of a traditional striker, who depends on his positioning.

He does not contribute much defensively, but the Gunners' main focus for next season appears on finding a genuine scorer.

Osimhen has yet to prove himself over an entire season, but the Gunners still seem determined to acquire his services this summer.
